Toledo Furniture is owned and led by Michael Nieuwhof, who honed his craft at the foot of his father, Henri — a dutch furniture designer and cabinet maker who began offering quality, long-lasting furniture in Tasmania in 1974.

Today Michael runs the factory and showroom in Launceston, where his team of superior craftsmen make the furniture on site using traditional dowelling, mortise and tenon, and dovetail jointing methods.

Each piece is unique in character and is made to be practical yet pleasing to the eye.

You can choose from their standard range or have a piece designed and made to your own specifications.

Tasmanian timbers are among the finest in the world and Toledo sources timbers that are sustainable and certified to Australian Forestry standards including Blackbutt, Tasmanian Oak, Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras, Huon Pine, and European Beech.
